Four younger Scouts came to camp at the Hut on the weekend of Jamboree on the Internet / Jamboree on the Air (JOTI & JOTA) and practised their skills in cooking on stoves, camping outside and pioneering - they made a crossing over an imaginary river using poles, rope and empty water barrels. We woke up on the Sunday morning to frost on our tents! Photo is taken at 1st Sandhurst Scout Hut where the Scouts hiked to via Wildmoor Heath, in order to take part in JOTA (the world Scout Movement takes to the airways to contact Scouts from other countries). We heard radio conversations from as far away as Canada and as close as Runways End!

 

We hope to make this camp an annual event for the younger Scouts so that they can practice basic skills over a longer time period than just the normal weekly meetings.
